The Oklahoma City Thunder won the 2025 NBA Finals, defeating the Indiana Pacers in a decisive Game 7, and yet, things somehow still turned frightening on the streets after the game.
Police are investigating a shooting that happened Sunday night at Scissortail Park shortly after the Thunder won the NBA Finals.
The shooting happened around 10:30 p.m. across the street from the Paycom Center located near Oklahoma City Boulevard and South Robinson Avenue.
As Oklahoma City was celebrating the Thunder winning the NBA Finals championship on Sunday evening, Oklahoma City Police Sgt. Rob Robertson revealed that shots rang out and someone had been hit.
Law enforcement located the unidentified victim with a gunshot wound, with several potential suspects fleeing the area.

The Oklahoma City Thunder Might Be The Newest Dynasty

The Oklahoma City Thunder just won their first NBA championship, beating the Indiana Pacers 103-91 Sunday night in Game 7 to cap off a dominant season.
This may be the first of many.
The Thunder will try to become the first repeat champions since the 2018 Warriors.
And even though the celebration for this year’s title has just begun, it’s not too early to look ahead to next season.
The Thunder, at +220, are already significant betting favorites to win the 2026 title, according to FanDuel.
Oklahoma City opened as a +240 favorite to win the 2025-26 NBA title at BetMGM.
