Desmond Bane’s recent comments on his present team, the Orlando Magic, sparked a discussion about the difference between his former team, the Memphis Grizzlies. Just days after they traded Bane, the shooting guard praised the Magic’s training facility and, in doing so, seemed to throw some shade at his old team.
This is not the first time Bane has shown love for the Magic’s facilities. Back in 2022, when Orlando unveiled their new training center, Bane reposted the news on social Media with the caption, “This is what we need.” Although he later deleted the post, it resurfaced after his recent comments went viral.
At a press conference, Bane Said, “It’s different, bro. The one in Memphis, we ain’t have one window… We joked around and called it the dungeon, but this is a breath of fresh air,” He continued, “I mean you literally can step outside and get a breath of fresh air and eat on the patio.” He also highlighted features like the indoor-outdoor training space.
While his words might seem casual, they could reflect more profound frustration with the Grizzlies’ setback. With the NBA draft just around the corner, Bane’s remark might push the Grizzlies to rethink their investment in player facilities.
Desmond Bane To Enforce Orlando Magic’s Glory

The Orlando Magic took a bold step toward becoming serious title contenders by acquiring sharpshooter Desmond Bane. Known for his exceptional three-point shooting, Bane’s arrival significantly boosts the Magic’s offensive strategy. His deep-range shooting ability will help stretch opposing defenses and create more scoring opportunities for his teammates, proving a transformative impact on the team’s game plan.
This move marks a pivotal moment for the Magic, as they look to capitalize on their young, talented core. With Bane now in the fold, the Magic are in a good position to contend in the Eastern Conference, signaling a new era of competitive basketball.
