Among all the children of NBA superstars, Jayson Tatum’s son, Deuce, has carved out a special place in the hearts of fans. Often seen courtside or celebrating with his father, Deuce has become a fan favorite with his playful personality. Recently, he stole the spotlight once again by delivering a brutally honest remark about his father in front of NBA legend Kevin Garnett.
In a video shared on X, Kevin Garnett met with Jayson Tatum and his son. The Hall of Famer turned to the young Deuce and playfully challenged him.
“I can get a bucket on you right now, Deuce. What’s up?” Garnett said.
While most kids might shy away from such an intense presence, Deuce proved he was unfazed. Instead of backing down, he hit Garnett with an unexpected and brutally honest take that even caught his father off guard.

Colin Cowherd Questions Jayson Tatum’s Superstar Status

Sports analyst Colin Cowherd recently sparked controversy by dismissing Tatum as a true superstar. Moreover, Cowherd made his stance clear on The Herd, using statistics and marketing influence as his reasoning.
“I’m just saying he’s not in that class, and all the numbers prove it. And by the way, you know who else proves it? Shoe companies. LeBron, Steph, KD, and Ja Morant have their own brand. Tatum doesn’t. He’s got a shoe under Michael’s brand,” Cowherd said.
However, Tatum’s sneaker deal is indeed under Jordan Brand rather than having his own independent line. But marketing decisions don’t define a player’s greatness. More importantly, Tatum’s performance on the court tells a different story. This season, the Celtics star averages 27.1 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game.
