The Phoenix Suns had one of the most forgettable seasons this year. Despite the duo of Devin Booker and Kevin Durant present in their ranks, things went quite downhill for the Suns. Thus, the front office is eager to make significant changes for the next season. And among them, prioritizing Booker as their primary option is at the top. However, there might be a change of roles awaiting him.
Despite the Suns’ poor showing, Booker did have a decent season. Now, banking on him to be the main star, the Suns are expecting Booker to switch back to the SG position. According to a recently released report, Booker might be asked to play the role of an SG.
“I think we’re going back to putting Devin Booker where God made him to be. I think the Suns are gonna say ‘Hey man, you in the drivers seat. We’re gonna go back to you being the #1 option,” the report via ‘Flex From Jersey’ claimed.

Surely, this is exciting news for the fans. After all, Booker did have significant success playing as an SG. And if he can make his mark once again, then the Phoenix Suns are in for a joyride next season. Meanwhile, a trade proposal for Devin Booker might ruin the Suns’ plans.
Devin Booker Speculated To Join The Dallas Mavericks

“Enter Booker, who was a first-team All-NBA shooting guard in 2021-22, and is squarely in his prime at 28 years old. A healthy core of Davis, Irving and Booker would be able to contend for championships immediately, and Booker would remain a centerpiece even as Davis and Irving start to age out of their primes. Add on that Dallas also gets some draft considerations in this deal,” Snellings wrote.

Thus, with things looking quite interesting, what actually goes down with Devin Booker remains to be seen.
