The Jimmy Butler effect! Right from the start of the season, Butler has been in the limelight. Unfortunately, it was for all the wrong reasons. Initially a member of the Miami Heat outfit, Butler had some pretty awkward fallouts with his previous team. The NBA star even got suspended by the Heat’s authorities. And just when things were looking gloomy for Butler, the trade to the Golden State Warriors took place.
What happened next was absolute cinema. Soon after joining the Warriors, Butler emerged as a key component of the team. In fact, together with Stephen Curry and Draymond Green, Butler has been the top three of the team. With his scintillating performance, the Warriors are actually fancying an outside chance of making it to the playoffs.
The Jimmy Butler trade has seemed pretty one-sided so far.

The Warriors have been on fire since acquiring Butler – going 15-3 since the trade.
If you only count games Butler has played in, Golden State is 15-2.

After Butler came to the Warriors, Stephen Curry and co. have gone 15-3. However, if we take only the games that Butler has played in, the record gets more impressive to 15-2. And there’s more. Before Butler joined, the Warriors were seeded 19th in offense and 10th in defense. And after his inclusion? Well, the offensive and defensive seedings for the Warriors are 5 and 2 respectively! Unfortunately, the Miami Heat has followed a completely opposite path.
Miami Heat Suffer From Jimmy Butler’s Trade

Miami Heat and Jimmy Butler did not share the best of ratios in recent times. Infact, Butler publicly asked for a trade from his team. And since he has left, the Heat have painted a sorry picture. Miami has won 4 and lost 16. What’s worse is that the Heat has lost 9 games in a row.

Same goes for the offensive and defensive seedings. Before the trade, Miami Heat was 18th and 9th in the offensive and defensive seeds. However, after the trade, they plummeted to 28 and 17 respectively. Thus, it is quite evident that Jimmy Butler is having a significant effect on both the teams. Now, it remains to be seen how things pan out in the future.
