The beef between Stephen A. Smith and LeBron James have been doing the rounds in the NBA in recent times. With the NBA analyst criticizing James for his parenting of Bronny James, things got quite ugly between them. And with the situation still quite hot, DJ Envy does not seem quite impressed with how Smith has handled the situation.
In a recent appearance on ‘The Big Podcast,’ DJ Envy was asked about his opinions on the incident. Commenting on the same, the entertainment personality said that one needs to tone down while speaking publicly. He further stated that as an analyst, Smith has the right to criticize his playing style. But he cannot, under any circumstances, criticize his parenting and talk ill about his family.
“But when you start breaking down who a parent is, who a father is, that’s when there’s a problem. And I tell everybody all the time, you can play with me all day long. You can joke me all day long, but when you bring my kids into it or you bring my wife into it, I’m ready to fight,” said DJ Envy.

“People could say I would have gotten my a** kicked, but did you see who I walked in with? He was 10 feet away. So whatever was gonna happen would have had to happen quickly because that brother right there, that is 330-plus, that is my bodyguard, and not to mention a whole of other people who I have around me, I really don’t have a whole lot to worry about,” Smith said on ‘360 with Speedy’ podcast.
Thus, with things looking quite tense, it remains to be seen how the situation pans out.
