Jayson Tatum was one of the mainstays of the Boston Celtics this season. Looking to lift the championship, the Celtics had quite a good run. Unfortunately, with Tatum suffering an ACL injury, the Celtics’ run came to a screeching halt. But before that, Tatum had the NBA realm buzzing. And while most of it was praise, much backlash was also directed at him for not dropping enough points. And that is something that Donovan Mitchell has a problem with.
During a recent interaction, he praised Tatum for being unselfish. Instead of going for individual glory, the Celtics’ star made sure that he was involving his teammates, too. Speaking on the matter, Mitchell stated that he was not concerned about what fans said. He pointed out that fans wouldn’t probably understand why a player is playing in a certain manner. Calling Tatum a true leader, Mitchell stated,
“Everybody talked about he’s not getting 50. It’s not this, it’s not that. So what? This is what it’s going to take… I think that’s what a true leader does.”

Mitchell further pointed out that Tatum surely did not drop 50s. But his contribution was much more than just stats and numbers. However, recovering from his gruesome injury, Tatum does not seem to be a happy man.
Jayson Tatum Unhappy With His Progress

Jayson Tatum suffered a heartbreak in the NBA playoffs. Now then, nursing his ACL tear, he was immediately taken to Manhattan’s Hospital for surgery. After 45 days of rehabilitation, Tatum recently provided an update on his injury. And by the looks of it, the Celtics’ star was not at all happy. Tatum seemed utterly irritated at the slow progress. Taking to his social media, Tatum said:
