Draymond Green is at it again, and Dillon Brooks is in his crosshairs.
The Golden State Warriors managed to eliminate the Houston Rockets from the playoffs by winning Game 7 of their first-round matchup with a score of 103-89.
This was their fifth time ousting the Rockets from the postseason in Houston’s last seven appearances dating back to 2015.
However, the series witnessed a rivalry between two of the most controversial players, i.e., Green and Brooks.
Despite their history of animosity, the series itself did not show many memorable on-court confrontations. However, after Game 7, Draymond Green criticized Brooks for leaving the court without acknowledging his opponents.
“Dillon Brooks ran off the court. So, when I say you see what guys is made of, he ran off the court. Ain’t shake nobody up. You admitted you were trying to hurt Steph’s hand. Which, again, fine by me, bro. I get it, we all get it when you hoop,” Green said.

“That’s who Dillon Brooks is. We understand, you’re a sucka, man… Dillon Brooks couldn’t come through in this series, in large part because nobody on the court respects you. So anything you do, the way it’s going to be looked at, the way it’s going to be received, it ain’t beneficial to your team,” he added.
Green’s play in Game 7 contrasted sharply with Brooks’s performance. While Green recorded an impressive 16 points, six rebounds, and five assists, shooting 7-15 from the field, Brooks struggled throughout the game.
He fell short with just eight points and poor shooting percentages.

Draymond Green Praised Teammates In Style For Game 1 Victory

The Golden State Warriors began the second round of the playoffs on a high note, securing a 99-88 victory against the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 1.
This win was made possible by the Warriors’ effective defensive play, combined with Minnesota’s struggles in shooting.
A significant factor in the game was the absence of the Warriors’ star point guard, Stephen Curry, who left early in the second quarter due to a left hamstring strain.
In his stead, players like Draymond Green, Jimmy Butler, and Buddy Hield took on larger roles to help propel the team to victory.
Draymond Green highlighted the contributions of Butler and Hield, likening their performances to the famous duo of Batman and Robin.
“Robin turned into ‘Batman’… ‘Alfred’ turned into ‘Robin,’ Green said after the game.

Despite Butler’s usual self-identification as Robin when Curry is healthy, he led the game with a commendable 20 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists. Hield made a significant impact as well, scoring 24 points and securing eight rebounds, including five three-pointers.
Green also contributed with 18 points, eight rebounds, and six assists but was quick to credit Butler and Hield for stepping up in Curry’s absence.
