The NBA has its fair share of ups and downs. One of the biggest issues that the product is suffering is that of low ratings. While the tournament once ruled the rating charts, such a drastic drop has surely raised a significant number of eyebrows. Now then, when the question of whether the NBA is becoming boring to Draymond Green came up with a brutal answer. The 4x NBA champion opined that the games have surely become boring with the stars not getting the superstar treatment that they once used to get.
“Absolutely,” said Green about how the NBA has been boring lately. Green brought back the example of how the Warriors used to think and plan in a refreshing manner while tackling the threat of someone like LeBron James earlier.
“Every possession is some type of chess move,” Green said. “You don’t get that today in the NBA, often. … You don’t just get that on a regular basis. It’s just who can run faster, who can hit more threes, it’s no substance. I think it’s very boring.

Green also cited an example from a past interview involving the late great Kobe Bryant. In the interaction, Bryant termed the modern NBA product as “accidental basketball.” Meanwhile, speaking about low ratings, Bill Simmons recently gave a shocking take on how Stephen Curry and LeBron James were behind the plummeting ratings.

Bill Simmons recently attacked LeBron James and Stephen Curry for contributing to the NBA’s rating problem. Simmons suggested that the athletes’ tendency to score more three-peat shots might have a big role to play.
“There’s been so much what’s wrong with the NBA stuff. The Steph LeBron thing last night was the solution and the problem at the same time. Because it was the same thing for the Olympics too, right?” said Simmons.
