The Oklahoma City Thunder appeared to be in full control of their Western Conference Semifinals series against the Denver Nuggets. However, momentum has shifted dramatically. The Nuggets mounted a fierce comeback to even the series 3-3. Now, with both teams locked in a dead heat, Game 7 will be the ultimate test that determines which franchise continues its playoff journey and which one goes home.
Former NBA champion Dwyane Wade recently weighed in on the high-stakes matchup during an episode of the Wy Network podcast. The three-time NBA champion claimed that adversity is a necessary part of any championship journey.
“If they’re going to get that championship, lift that trophy over their head, they got to go through some adversity,” Wade said.

Following the New York Knicks’ thrilling advancement to the Eastern Conference Finals, guard Josh Hart took a moment to reflect on the inspiration behind his journey and the jersey number he proudly wears. Hart shared that he wears the No. 3 jersey in honor of his longtime NBA idol, Dwyane Wade.
“Growing up, my favorite player definitely was D-Way. Anyone that knows me knows I love D-Way, I grew up idolizing him. One of the reasons why we’re number three right now. So just the passion that he had, you would do whatever it took to win, defensively, offensively, to just have so much heart, so much hustle,” Hart said.
Wade remains an idol for many young basketball players due to his outstanding run with the Miami Heat. For his stellar resume with the franchise, the Heat even honored him with a statue outside Kaseya Center last year.
