Damian Lillard was sidelined for the Milwaukee Bucks’ final regular-season games due to a blood clot in his right calf and also missed Game 1 of their first-round playoff series. He returned in Game 2, following a fiery message directed at the Indiana Pacers after Game 1.
However, the Bucks star soon found himself battling another injury setback. NBA insider Chris Haynes later reported that the Bucks are concerned Lillard may have suffered an Achilles injury.
“Milwaukee Bucks star Damian Lillard will not return tonight against the Indiana Pacers, league sources tell me. Injury potentially severe,” Haynes wrote on X.

The injury occurred early in the first quarter when Lillard attempted to set his feet to chase down an offensive rebound. Immediately afterward, he could not put any weight on his lower left leg.
The Bucks’ medical staff rushed onto the court. Lillard needed assistance to leave the floor and couldn’t return to the game. The incident cast a heavy shadow over Milwaukee’s night. They now face possible elimination, with Indiana leading the series 3-1.
