Moreover, committing to James at max salary will be deemed as ‘unwise’ according to Amick’s report. Meanwhile, as of now, LeBron James has opted in for the 2025-26 season at a whopping contract.

James has been facing retirement speculations for a long time. However, with him still willing to continue, the King has signed yet another contract. Putting an end to all the trade rumors, James will be staying with the Lakers in the upcoming season. In a recent update, James reportedly opted in for his $52.6 million player option.
