Jaren Jackson Jr.’s injury hit the Memphis Grizzlies with another setback and, unfortunately, blew away their chances of winning. It shattered their hopes right at the beginning of the Hawks game. After playing for less than two minutes in the game, Jackson Jr. exited the crucial match with an injured ankle.
While the Grizzlies were already missing star point guard Ja Morant, the situation only worsened after yet another sidelined player. The Grizzlies faced an uphill battle from the start. Though expectations were high from All-Star Jackson Jr., the unfortunate ankle twist on the paint only added to the pain.

His early exit left fans and teammates reeling as they quickly realized the tough challenge ahead without two of their most vital players. As Jackson Jr. limped off the court, he left behind a stark emptiness throughout the arena. His impactful presence was sorely missed, and with zeros across the board by the time he left, the Grizzlies struggled to find their rhythm.
Desmond Bane stepped in and scored 35 points and contributed 10 assists, but even his stellar performance couldn’t compensate for the absence of Jackson Jr. and Morant. The game ended in a narrow 132-130 loss, all thanks to a late-game layup from Caris LeVert that sealed Memphis’s fate.

“Jaren Jackson Jr? The NBA is so cooked man. This is why ratings are down. Dude already heading to the locker room. In the NHL you got players who play with broken fingers, tooth knocked out and we have the Adam Silvers NBA. I really hope Maverick Carters basketball endeavor works because the NBA is a terrible product,” a user wrote.

Despite the injury, Jackson Jr. has been a crucial part of the Grizzlies’ success this season, and he’s holding tight on both ends of the court. He’s averaging 23.1 points and 5.9 rebounds and has stellar defensive stats. While his status for the next game needs reevaluating, the Grizzlies need prayers for a healthy roster.
