The Former New York Knicks Guard Chris Childs is not quite ready to accept Kylie Jenner as the team’s postseason lucky charm, despite the team’s strong run on the courtside in her presence. Meanwhile, fans have quickly credited Jenner’s appearances at Madison Square Garden for the Knicks’ playoff success.
Regarding this, Childs told TMZ Sports, “C’mon now,” said Childs, who played for the Knicks in the ’90s. “That’s reaching a little too far!”. Childs emphasized that players like Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, and the rest of the roster deserve recognition for their performances.
“They’re the ones that have to get out there and get the job done”, he added.
And Game 6 proved him right.
Jenner was absent from Madison Square Garden, but her boyfriend, actor Timothee Chalamet, was there, sitting courtside alongside rapper Bad Bunny, as the Knicks crushed the defending champion Celtics to reach their first Eastern Conference Finals since 2000.
While Amar’e Stoudemire recently called Chlamet “the next Spike Lee”, the former Knicks star was not ready to go that far.
“Spike’s been there, for what, 30 years now?!” Childs said. “Tim has a long way to go, but I’m glad he’s there,” the former Knicks star added.
