At just 16 years old, LeBron James participated in a legendary pick-up game featuring Michael Jordan. While video evidence of this thrilling encounter remains elusive, the buzz it created within the NBA community was undeniable.
In January 2025, James reflected on this memorable encounter in an interview on the “New Heights” podcast, confidently asserting that he was unguardable in that game. However, in a recent appearance on “Run It Back” on FanDuel TV, former NBA star Antoine Walker was quick to challenge this assertion, offering a critical perspective on James’ claims.
“Well, he wasn’t unguardable…When LeBron came in, obviously he was only 16, 17 years old. But you could see the potential obviously when he was playing. You could see it. But as far as dominating or anything like that, no, that wasn’t the case.” Walker said.

Walker also participated in that infamous pickup game. When reflecting on the events surrounding that game, he concurred with several of James’ statements. However, the former NBA star strongly disagreed with James’ bold claim that he was unguardable.
