And when ‘The Greek Freak’ replied that he was only 20, Evans only had one answer, “Damn!” Looking back at the incident recently, Reggie Evans stated:
“That’s the day I knew he was gonna be a superstar. That’s why l asked him what l asked him. That was my reaction. This kid here, the things he was doing in that game, seeing it in person, I saw superstar.”

In his sophomore season, Antetokounmpo had an average of 12.7 PPG, 6.7 RPG, 2.6 APG, and 1.0 BPG on 49 FG%! Evans surely witnessed all of these firsthand, so his amazement was quite legitimate.

Soon after the Bucks were ousted from the league, trade talks about Giannis Antetokounmpo began to surface. Similarly, one popular rumor stated that Antetokounmpo might be heading to the Golden State Warriors. Pairing him alongside Stephen Curry, the Warriors would aim for a formidable trio in the next season. However, all of those rumors were toned down. An update from ESPN’s Brian Windhorst stated:
“Right now, there is no Giannis Antetokounmpo trade market, there is no Giannis Antetokounmpo trade discussions. He has not asked for it. The Bucks are not looking to trade him.”
