
Gregg Popovich had a major health scare while trying to enjoy dinner at a restaurant in San Antonio last month.
The former Spurs coach was at Ruth’s Steakhouse on April 15 when he passed out, prompting a 911 call.
TMZ Sports has since obtained audio footage from that call wherein the caller claimed Popovich was unresponsive.

The man said the former head coach was “non-responding” before slightly changing his tune with claims that Pop was “barely responding.”
A few seconds later, he relayed that Pop was coming to.
“OK,” he said, “he’s responding now.”

“He passed out for a little bit,” he added.

Following the call, medics headed to the scene to attend to Popovich, taking him to a nearby hospital. According to TMZ sources, Pop’s scare was related to the mild stroke he suffered back in November.
Fortunately, Gregg Popovich is recovering well. He has stepped down as head coach but will remain with the Spurs as team president.
He was at the ceremony unveiling Mitch Johnson as his replacement earlier this month.
The 76-year-old has since opened up on his health, revealing that “things are getting better by the day,” though he admitted that it was in his best interest to step away from coaching.
