Brook Lopez is officially going to part ways with the Milwaukee Bucks. Amid the trade speculations with the Los Angeles Clippers, teammate Giannis Antetokounmpo acknowledged the end of the franchise’s journey.
Lopez is carrying a promising career with the Bucks. He averaged 13 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks over seven seasons. The key member of Bucks’ 2021 title run redefined his long run with the Bucks as a post scorer and a reliable three-and-D big man. However, he helped Antetokounmpo with his crucial inside spacing. His rim projection and floor spacing were foundational to the Bucks’ core to grow as a modern defensive drive.
According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the long-term tenure agreement was for a two-year, $18 million deal with the Los Angeles Clippers. Shortly after the announcement, Bucks fan Justin Wills posted a tribute message to Lopez on social media.
He wrote, “Thank you for everything, Brook Lopez. Milwaukee Bucks legend. We will never forget your contributions to the championship in Milwaukee.“
Giannis reposted the tweet with emojis that made everyone confirm the news.

Lopez’s decision pairs with Ivica Zubac and Kawhi Leonard in the Clippers’ depth. The trio may become the most brutal defensive attack for the opponents. At the same time, the Bucks are in trouble, as Damian Lillard remains off the court. Now they need a strong and reliable pick to fill those major gaps and make a long-term commitment for a deep playoff run.

Will Giannis Antetokounmpo Move Out From The Milwaukee Bucks?

After Lopez, Antetokounmpo seems ready to leave the Milwaukee Bucks. After another strong season in which he averaged 30.4 points, 11.9 rebounds, and 6.5 assists, the big man is not looking desperate to stay in the same franchise.
NBA insider Shams Charania reported that Giannis Antetokounmpo has been open-minded about his best fit moving forward. He also added that the Golden State Warriors could be Giannis’s next destination.
As speculation grows, the Bucks star is waiting to see how his team improves before making any decision about his future.
