The GOAT war just does not seem to be stopping. Ever since the emergence of LeBron James to the top, the NBA fans have been divided into two. While one half hails King James as the GOAT. The other half remains loyal to the good old Bulls’ superstar Michael Jordan. Now, as James is approaching the twilight of his career, the debate has picked pace even further. And now, taking a brutal dig at James is none other than Jordan’s former agent, David Falk.
Speaking at the ‘Sports Business Journal 4SE conference,’ Falk reflected on the ongoing Jordan vs James debate. While he admitted that Jordan was the undoubted king, Falk also pointed out that the second spot too will not be going to James. Instead, it will be reserved for the likes of Kobe Bryant or Kareen Abdul-Jabbar. Surely, as this is a surprisingly analogy, Falk had his justifications ready.
“But I think if Jordan had cherry-picked what teams he wanted to be on and two other superstars, he would’ve won 15 championships,” said Falk.

Surely, with a fresh perspective coming up, the GOAT debate has now become even more interesting. Meanwhile, James seemingly is not interested in the GOAT debate. Having wrapped up his 22nd season, James recently shared an interesting take on past NBA players.
LeBron James Unhappy With Harsh Criticism From Ex-NBA Athletes

With the game evolving rapidly, LeBron James serves as the bridge between two generations. However, as a number of players have now retired, King James is not at all happy with how they tend to criticize the game. According to the Lakers’ star, such harsh criticisms cast a looming shadow of negativity on the game. Speaking on ‘Mind The Game’ podcast, James opined:

“I loved it growing up. I mean, s**t — the older generation makes you not want to love the game that I grew up watching. Like, I grew up loving a Knicks vs. Bulls playoff series. Or Pacers vs. Knicks playoff series. I loved that. Seeing Charles Barkley play in Phoenix, like take his talents to Phoenix and help them get to the Finals, was so f***ing dope. But now, that generation talks so much s*** about the game today, it makes you go back and watch those old games. It makes you not even want to appreciate them the way you did as a kid,”
Thus, with some strong opinions coming in, it remains to be seen how things pan out in the future.
