If anything, the Golden State Warriors are getting a lot of attention for a couple of trade proposals.
Recently, a report linked the Bay Area team with one of the Eastern Conference’s big men in a massive trade proposal.
According to Bleacher Report’s Grant Hughes, the trade would send Kristaps Porzingis to the Warriors in exchange for Moses Moody, Buddy Hield, Trayce Jackson-Davis, and Gui Santos.
The proposal comes at a time when the Warriors are actively seeking an upgrade at the center position. As it has been their lacking domain that has impacted their performance in recent years.

This move makes sense for the Warriors because Porzingis could significantly enhance their offense and provide the necessary size. He can also offer great rim protection if needed, something they’ve been missing.
However, the Warriors must be cautious about acquiring Porzingis, especially considering his injury history. They would need assurances that he will remain healthy and commit to re-signing with the franchise. He is due to become an unrestricted free agent in 2026.

While the Porzingis proposal is another exciting trade idea, there’s some buzz around another Celtic star.
Ex-NBA Star Gives Nod To Warriors Trade Idea For Derrick White

While the Porzingis proposal is another exciting trade idea, there’s some buzz around another Celtic star.
There are exciting talks around the NBA this offseason, especially concerning Boston Celtics guard Derrick White and the Golden State Warriors.
Recently, Logan Murdock from The Ringer shared on The Zach Lowe Show that Derrick White could be on the Warriors’ radar for a trade. Since joining the Celtics in 2022, he’s become a role player.
He has helped the team reach three Eastern Conference Finals and two NBA Finals, winning an NBA championship along the way. Plus, he’s earned a spot on the NBA All-Defense teams not once but twice.
Lou Williams recently weighed in on this potential move during an episode of FanDuel’s ‘Run it Back’ show. He had nothing but good things to say about the idea of White wearing a Warriors jersey.
“I like this a lot. He fits their style. He can shoot the basketball. He’s gonna be able to defend. He’s tough. He’s smart. A very cerebral basketball player. He checks all of the boxes for the style of play the Golden State Warriors like to play,” Williams said.
“It’s a spot open for some star power now.” 👀@TeamLou23 LOVES the idea of Derrick White on the Warriors, especially with the injury to Jayson Tatum in Boston. The Celtics could use an injection of some “star power”.

However, there are some hurdles to clear before any trade can happen. Rumors suggest that Jonathan Kuminga might be part of a trade package. However, there’s a catch: The Celtics can’t do sign-and-trades right now because they’re over the NBA’s second tax apron.
