
The Houston Rockets defeated the Golden State Warriors 106-96 at Chase Center. It marked Houston’s first road victory against the Warriors since February 20, 2020, and snapped Golden State’s five-game winning streak. The Warriors opened the game strong, winning the first quarter, but failed to maintain their rhythm for the rest of the contest.
More importantly, the win propelled the Rockets to a 52-27 record, firmly placing them in the second seed of the Western Conference, trailing only the league-leading Oklahoma City Thunder at 64-14. With the loss, Golden State’s record now sits at 46-32, identical to the Los Angeles Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies, and Minnesota Timberwolves. However, the Warriors remain in the fourth seed.
Dillon Brooks Shines As The Houston Rockets Snap Warriors’ Home Dominance

Dillon Brooks led the Rockets with a strong performance, scoring 24 points on 10-of-13 shooting, including three of four from beyond the arc. He also collected three rebounds and dished out two assists in 29 minutes.

Jalen Green added 21 points, three rebounds, and five assists while shooting 9-of-19 from the field and 3-of-7 from deep. Alperen Sengun added 19 points, 14 rebounds, and four assists. Jabari Smith Jr. chipped in with 16 points and nine rebounds, while Amen Thompson contributed 14 points, six rebounds, and six assists.
The most shocking stat of the night came from Warriors star Stephen Curry. The sharpshooter was held to just three points on 1-of-10, including 1-of-8 from three-point range. Curry also committed four turnovers. Despite the off night, Curry surpassed Reggie Miller for 24th on the NBA’s all-time scoring list.

Meanwhile, Brandin Podziemski was a bright spot with 19 points, six rebounds, and four assists. Buddy Hield added 20 points off the bench with two rebounds and two assists. Gary Payton II gave a spark with 16 points, five rebounds, and two assists. Draymond Green finished with two points, three rebounds, and four assists, while Jimmy Butler added 13 points and five rebounds.
