The NBA offseason is all about the big money transfers. The hoops world is buzzing with Kevin Durant’s new destination while speculating what’s next for Giannis Antetokounmpo. However, there are also seemingly smaller trades that are garnering attention. And one such name that immediately pops up is Guerschon Yabusele. While he has been traded by the Philadelphia 76ers, Yabusele is not mincing words.
Yabusele was recently traded to the New York Knicks. Having a decent season this year, Yabusele revealed a surprising fact about the 76ers. In an interview with Skweek TV, the former 76ers said he was practically lowballed during free agency. The 76ers did not even make an offer.
“I didn’t really have any issues over there, like I want to leave. I was like, okay, if they want to resign me and then they give me something good, I will come back. For sure. But they almost didn’t really make, like, an offer. They did, but it was really, really low to be really transparent,” said Yabusele.

However, despite the bitter taste, Yabusele was clear on one thing. He did not hold any hard feelings towards the 76ers. In fact, he was thankful to the franchise for giving him a second chance to excel and prove himself.
Guerschon Yabusele Makes His Second Chance Count

Yabusele was picked up by the Boston Celtics back in 2016. However, he failed to turn up for the franchise until 2017. But even then, he had a forgettable outing for the Celtics. And that is when the 76ers came in with a second chance. Playing for Philly, Yabusele had an average of 27.1 playing minutes.

With Joel Embiid injured, Yabusele made the most of the opportunity. He dropped 11 points, 2.1 assists, and 5.6 rebounds. Now, with yet another shift in dynamics, it remains to be seen what happens next.
