Recent reports have sparked rumors about Kevin Durant potentially leaving the Phoenix Suns after this season. Shams Charania has revealed that Durant and the Suns are expected to collaborate on a trade to a contender. On top of that, Durant’s reported tension with Suns head coach Mike Budenholzer has added more fuel to the fire.
One of the latest events to stoke these rumors came during the Suns’ game against the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday. Durant was seen having a brief courtside chat with Lakers star LeBron James.

Durant joined the Suns midway through the 2022-23 season after spending two and a half seasons with the Brooklyn Nets. The Suns star has yet to fully establish his place in Phoenix.
Luka Doncic Frustrates Kevin Durant With A Dominant Win

In the Suns’ most recent game against the Lakers, Phoenix suffered a 107-96 defeat. Luka Doncic starred for the Lakers, contributing 33 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists, four three-pointers, and two steals, leading his team to a strong victory. Austin Reaves also had a standout performance. Reaves added 28 points, four rebounds, and six assists to the Lakers’ win.
Durant did his best to keep Phoenix competitive, finishing with 21 points, nine rebounds, and two assists. He was efficient from the free-throw line, converting seven of his ten attempts. Devin Booker added 19 points, while Ryan Dunn contributed 13 points.
The Phoenix team is having another tough season under Durant’s leadership. It remains to be seen whether Durant will remain with the Suns or look for a new opportunity elsewhere.
