The Boston Celtics were in a tough spot and will probably lose the series. Their best player, Jayson Tatum, was out for the season due to his torn Achilles, while Jaylen Brown is treating a meniscus issue. Several other key players, like Jrue Holiday, Kristaps Porzingis, and Sam Huaser, remained injured due to hamstring, illness, and sprained ankle, respectively. Because of all these complications and being down 3-1 in the series without their talent pools, it looked like the defending champions had no chance of surviving.
But instead of giving up, they fought back hard. They easily beat the New York Knicks by 127-102 on Wednesday at their home court, forced a Game 6, and showed their championship spirit. The game remained tied at halftime, but then the Celtics dominated the second half, scoring a lot more than their opponent.
Win or Lose, What Matters The Most Is Never Giving up

In game 5, Derrick White played well, scoring 34 points and making seven three-pointers. Even though with a knee injury, Jaylen Brown played great, contributing with 26 points and getting 12 assists, taking control of the game. Boston made 22 three-pointers and scored easily whenever the Knicks made a mistake on defense.
The Celtics played great defense, limiting the Knicks to 35 out of every 100 shots, even though Hart scored 24. Jalen Brunson, who usually scores a lot, only scored 22 points and then fouled out. The Knicks’ other Key players, like Bridges and OG Anunoby, struggled to score against Boston’s tough Defense.
Boston’s energy was noticeable in game 6. Despite their loss by 81-119, they didn’t give up. Jaylen Brown led the team in scoring with 20 points, while AI Horford made his 10. However, Payton Pritchard secured 11 points but couldn’t survive till the end and lost the hope of the finals.
As the Celtics were already rushed out of the series with a 2-4 record in the semifinals, their fight until the last moment showed their strong determination with the injured roster, making them a formidable contender with strong courage.
