The Golden State Warriors managed to pull off the Game 3 victory without Jimmy Butler in the lineup. Butler sat out Saturday’s 104-93 home win against the Rockets because of a pelvic injury. From the sidelines, Butler’s emotions were visible, especially when he was caught expressing frustration at Buddy Hield’s decision to dribble during the game.
The Warriors and Rockets are set to meet again for Game 4 on Monday. However, Butler’s availability remains uncertain, as the latest injury report lists him as questionable due to a left pelvic contusion.

The Warriors hope Butler won’t have to miss the game once more when Monday night’s game arrives. Head coach Steve Kerr weighed in on whether Butler can return to action.
“He’s literally day-to-day. We have off, and it will be helpful for him to have another day. It’s a night game, so he gets a few extra hours. We’ll see. I have no idea right now if he will play,” Kerr said.

“Obviously I know I need Jimmy to win. If we had Jimmy right now, I feel like it’d be a complete different situation. We probably wouldn’t have been a 8th seed. So finding that middle balance of like damn, we need him, but also understanding sh*t,” Herro said.
Without Butler, the Heat made it to the playoffs, but now they are 3-0 in the first round against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Meanwhile, Golden State is just two wins away from winning the first round of the playoff series.
