The Minnesota Timberwolves are now on a losing streak in the conference finals series against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Following their defeat in Game 2, the Timberwolves now trail the series 0-2. The second game was particularly disappointing for Julius Randle, who delivered one of his poorest performances of the season.
Game 3 between the Timberwolves and Thunder is scheduled for Saturday. Ahead of the matchup, Minnesota released their injury report, and Julius Randle was not listed. This confirms that Randle is fully available and expected to play in the crucial game.

In Game 2, Randle managed to score only six points over the course of 32 minutes on the floor. He contributed five rebounds and five assists but struggled with his shooting, going just 2-for-11 from the field. Additionally, he committed four turnovers.
This subpar performance came as a surprise considering Randle’s overall impact in his debut season with Minnesota. He has been a consistent contributor during the regular season, averaging 18.7 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game. Even in the playoffs leading up to Game 2, Randle had performed solidly.

“I lost my matchup. Julius was incredible. And honestly, some of the shots he was taking was shots that you want him to take, and he made them. I got to give it to him, man. He got the better of me,” Green said.
The Timberwolves ended the series in five games, defeating the Golden State Warriors 4-1 to advance to the conference Finals. Randle played a pivotal role in that outcome, averaging 25.2 points, 7.4 assists, and 6.6 rebounds over the five-game series.
