The Minnesota Timberwolves are looking like they are back in the game. While they seemed to be down and out just a few games back, the Wolves might just squeeze into a playoff spot! Extending their winning streak to six games, the Timberwolves got the better of Denver Nuggets with a 115-95 victory in their last game.
However, while the fans rejoice with newfound vigor, a detailed scrutiny has brought up some incredible numbers. After the inclusion of Julius Randle into the mix, the Timberwolves have looked like a different squad.
Strange, but true:

Since early January, the Minnesota Timberwolves have won 10 straight games when Julius Randle plays 😲 pic.twitter.com/RKcDryzx2O
Randle was traded to the Timberwolves for Karl Anthony-Towns. At the time, the move was cited as a potential loss for the Wolves. However, as time went by, Randle flourished. And his latest stats have been particularly impressive. In the last 10 games that Randle had featured, his team have won all of them! Despite a groin injury keeping Randle out of action for 13 games, his impact on the squad has been impressive.
After coming back from his injury, Randle is averaging 17.6 points per game. He also has 7.2 assists, and 8.2 rebounds to back his impressive run. Meanwhile, showing his funnier side, Julius Randle made fun of Mike Conley late in January 2025.
Julius Randle Mocks Mike Conley

Julius Randle and his team had a hard fought victory against the Dallas Mavericks in January. However, helping his team in the victory was Mike Conley. While Conley was suffering from a lean phase recently, he dropped a season high 18 points to see the Wolves through.

Joking about his performance, Randle said, “I think he’s starting to really turn the corner and find his rhythm. He’s old as hell, so it takes older people a little bit longer. Now that it’s game 50, hopefully, he’s caught his rhythm, and we can get this thing going.”

Thus, with Julius Randle in sublime form, things are looking good for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Now, it remains to be seen how things pan out in the future.
