While the Lakers look like a confident team, missing LeBron James would not be ideal in the current conference state.
After a recent victory over the New Orleans Pelicans, James expressed optimism regarding his health and conditioning. According to him, he felt the strongest he has in weeks.
“That was the best I felt before the injury for sure. I just tried to press, get downhill, my rhythm, as far as my jump shot felt pretty good today, I was shooting from the free throw line extremely well, and I’m a bit late, but it’s probably the best physically I felt. So hopefully, I can build off of that,” LeBron said as per Laker Nation.

However, the Akron-born star is currently recovering from a groin injury that forced him to miss seven games this season. He sustained it during a matchup against the Celtics in March.
Though the Lakers struggled in his absence, his return has been marked by inconsistency in his play. In a previous game against the Indiana Pacers, he scored just 13 points, but against the Pelicans, he shined with 27 points, eight assists, and two steals.
The Lakers currently hold the fourth-best record in the Western Conference and have tough opponents ahead in the playoffs, starting with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
