LeBron James made his long-awaited return to the court on Saturday against the Chicago Bulls after missing seven games due to a groin injury. However, his presence was not enough to lead the Los Angeles Lakers to victory, as they fell to the Bulls, 115-146. It extended their losing streak to two games.
The Lakers are set to face the Orlando Magic on Monday, but James’ status remains uncertain. He is currently listed as probable for the game. Meanwhile, Rui Hachimura is questionable, while Max Christie has been ruled out. Additionally, Bronny James is unavailable as he continues his stint with the South Bay Lakers.

In his first game back, LeBron put up 17 points, six rebounds, four assists, and three steals in 31 minutes. However, the 40-year-old star struggled with efficiency.
James shot just 7-of-16 from the field and 1-of-2 from three-point range against Josh Giddey’s team. The injury may have affected the superstar’s rhythm, as he also committed five turnovers in the loss.

Prior to LeBron James’ return, the Lakers struggled with a 3-4 record in his absence. With 12 games remaining in the regular season, the team is now focused on climbing the Western Conference standings. As James is back on the court, they aim to overtake the Denver Nuggets and Houston Rockets to secure a stronger playoff position.
