The Lakers and Timberwolves have split their regular-season matchups 2-2, but the postseason opened on a rough note for Los Angeles. In Game 1 of the first-round playoff clash, the Lakers were overpowered by Minnesota, falling 117-95. Even with Luka Doncic delivering a standout performance, it wasn’t enough to secure a win, putting the Lakers behind 0-1 in the series.
The two teams are set to meet again on Tuesday, April 22, at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. For the Lakers, Luka Doncic’s presence has become increasingly vital to their playoff hopes. Fortunately for the team and fans, Doncic is not listed on the latest injury report and is expected to be available for the crucial Game 2 game.

Since his arrival in February, Luka has brought energy and effort every time he’s stepped on the court in a Lakers jersey. In Game 1 alone, he led all scorers with 37 points while adding eight rebounds and two steals. Doncic has averaged 28.2 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 7.5 assists per game this season
Meanwhile, the Lakers’ latest injury report offers a bit of relief. Only Maxi Kleber was listed as out due to a foot injury.

“Nico Harrison, I consider you a friend of mine. Man, don’t do no more press conferences. Like, I don’t even know what you’re doing. I got sympathy and love for you, but I have zero idea what you’re trying to do. This war is over, brother. You taking the L. Don’t do anymore interviews,” Barkley said.
Luka Doncic has admitted that he feels deeply hurt by Nico Harrison’s disrespectful remarks, especially since he has never spoken negatively about Harrison in return. Despite Luka’s silence, the Mavericks GM continues to defend the trade. This remains one of the most heavily criticized moves of Harrison’s tenure.
