The Denver Nuggets are set to clash with the Indiana Pacers on Saturday night. They’ll be doing so with their leader, Nikola Jokic, who is fully healthy. The Serbian center is no longer on the injury report and is expected to return to the floor ready to compete at his usual elite level.
Jokic had previously been forced to sit out against the San Antonio Spurs due to an ankle issue. He was later marked as probable for Denver’s game against the Golden State Warriors. Despite the uncertainty, he ended up suiting for that game, although the Nuggets ultimately suffered a 118-104 defeat.
Even in the loss, Jokic reminded everyone why he’s one of the league’s most dominant players. He recorded 33 points, 12 rebounds, and nine assists in a performance that nearly carried his team.

On the Pacers’ injury report, Pascal Siakam has been ruled out with right elbow bursitis, and Isaiah Jackson is also sidelined due to an Achilles tear. Ben Sheppard is doubtful as he deals with a left toe sprain.

During a recent episode of The Herd with Colin Cowherd, the veteran sports analyst offered glowing praise for Nikola Jokic, placing him among the greatest big men the game has ever seen. Cowherd didn’t just compare Jokic to the legends of the past; he called him a new era’s standard.
“All great big men in my life have had one or two great defining characteristics—Kareem, the skyhook. Russell—rebounding and defense; Hakeem—the footwork; Shaq—the power. Then, there is Jokic, who is the modern definition of basketball,” Cowherd said.
Jokic’s versatility is something Cowherd believes the NBA has never truly seen before in a center. This season, Jokic has continued to amaze fans. He is putting up sensational numbers with averages of 29.8 points, 12.8 rebounds, and 10.2 assists across 66 games. With stats like these, he remains a frontrunner in the race for his fourth MVP title.
