The Golden State Warriors opened the second round of the playoffs with a solid victory on Tuesday night. But for Stephen Curry and the Warriors’ fanbase, it wasn’t all celebration. Curry’s injury, which occurred during the game, has now become a serious concern for the team and its supporters.
The Warriors are set to face the Minnesota Timberwolves again in Game 2 on Thursday. Unfortunately, what fans feared most has already become reality. The team has officially ruled Curry out for Games 2, 3, and 4 due to a Grade 1 hamstring strain.
“Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry, who exited last night’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves with 8:19 remaining in the second quarter with a strained left hamstring, underwent an MRI this morning. The MRI confirmed the injury as a Grade 1 hamstring strain,” the team statement read.

Curry managed to play just 13 minutes in Game 1 before sustaining the injury. Even though the Warriors adapted in his absence and received a strong performance from Buddy Hield, Curry’s presence was still deeply missed. Prior to his exit, he had already tallied 13 points.
