While the Pacers will heavily lean into Tyrese Haliburton, his father will be staying home for everybody’s good.
John Haliburton has decided to take a step back and won’t be attending any more playoff games to witness his son in person. This decision comes after an on-court confrontation with Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks, which created quite a stir.
The Pacers organization made this call, and John Haliburton has agreed, recognizing it’s best for everyone involved.

However, the incident unfolded right after Tyrese Haliburton hit a thrilling game-winning layup to help Indiana win the series against Milwaukee.
In the excitement, John Haliburton approached Giannis Antetokounmpo, waving a flag with his son’s name and number, which led to a verbal exchange.
Giannis later described the actions as disrespectful, which later led both Haliburton family members to apologize.
While there were some exaggerated reports about the Cavaliers planning to hand out “Control Your Dad” seats, it seems that was all in good fun and not actually happening.
