The Indiana Pacers are ahead in a crucial Game 3 in the NBA finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Following a tough loss in game 2 with 123-107, the upcoming game will be a chance for them to bounce back with the home-court advantage. Pacers star guard Tyrese Haliburton, who faced a lower leg injury in the recent knock, is raising questions about his availability for tonight’s showdown.
“At this time of year, I don’t know if anybody’s feeling perfect. … He practiced. Each day, it’s getting better. I don’t think you’re going to hear him making a big deal out of it,” Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle said. Despite some concern, he fully participated in Tuesday’s practice, easing fears about his availability.
Tyrese Haliburton said he's dealing with "a lower leg thing" but will play on Wednesday.

Haliburton fully practiced Tuesday, per coach Carlisle.
“I’m fine – really just a lower leg thing, I’ll be ready to go for Game 3,” Haliburton said while walking with a normal gait. The Thunder’s defensive pressure and playoff experience made them tough to crack, and any limitations for Haliburton could tip the balance further in the Thunder’s favor.
All Eyes On Tyrese Haliburton’s Impact In Game 3

Haliburton’s presence remains significant for the Pacers, which is currently tied 1-1 in the series. In both finals games, the 24-year-old guard held to six assists, well below his playoff average of 9.3 per game. His potential assist also fell slightly from 15.4 in the postseason to 14.0 in the series.
Thunder’s defense made it tough for Haliburton to control the ball more frequently, limiting his chances to create offense. So far, the Pacers converted just 12 of their 28 assist opportunities in this series. Add in the fact that Thunder is holding opponents to just 42.9% shooting in the playoffs, and it’s easy to see why Haliburton’s assist numbers are getting extra attention.
