The Indiana Pacers began the NBA Finals series on a high note by leading the series twice. However, following their Game 5 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Pacers now find themselves down 3-2 in the series. Amid this, a fresh injury concern involving star guard Tyrese Haliburton has added more concern to the team’s growing list of challenges.
According to the latest injury report released by the team, Tyrese Haliburton is listed as questionable due to a right calf strain. The report also confirms that Jarace Walker will be out with a right ankle sprain, while Isaiah Jackson is ruled out due to a right Achilles tendon tear.

Haliburton’s injury occurred during the team’s 120-109 defeat in Game 5. The All-NBA guard struggled visibly during the game. He finished the night with only four points and missed all six of his field goal attempts.
Haliburton’s scoreless shooting performance placed him in an unfortunate piece of history. With the performance, he became the first All-NBA player since 1958 to fail to make a single field goal in an NBA Finals game. He also made NBA history as the first player ever to finish a Finals game without a made field goal, steal, or block.

“He’ll go through the day tomorrow. Our prep session is tomorrow late afternoon. They’ll get together and do some testing. That will determine whether he plays or not. If he doesn’t play, we have a plan, obviously, if we’re without him,” Carlisle said.
However, Haliburton is determined to suit up for Game 6. After the loss, Haliburton made it clear that he intends to play, even if he’s not at full strength. Now, the final decision will depend on medical evaluations and team input.
