The Oklahoma City Thunder has been on a roll. After thoroughly dominating the regular season, the Thunder faced the daunting challenge of the Denver Nuggets. Thankfully, in what was a high-octane matchup, the Thunder were successfully able to get past Nikola Jokic’s Nuggets. This sets them up with a date against the Minnesota Timberwolves. However, going into the conference final, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has a problem to solve.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been a pivotal part of the Thunder. Playing in the semifinal, Gilgeous-Alexander was once again the star, dropping 35 points. Now, going into the finals, he will be up against his brother, Nickeil Alexander-Walker. The same brother with whom Gilgeous-Alexander has shared his childhood playtime and many more memories. Thus, it is normal for the Thunder star to feel emotional. But that doesn’t seem to be the case.
“It’s hard even to explain, right? Like, if you know how close we are, he’s literally like my second brother. He’s been through every stage of life with me. Picking up a basketball, going to prep school, and making it in the NBA… To compete against each other is even more special. But I am trying to take his head off for sure,” said Gilgeous-Alexander.
Surely, with Anthony Edwards not in the lineup, Alexander-Walker will be featured in the lineup. And when both brothers go for the kill, it surely will be a spectacle. Meanwhile, riding high in confidence, Gilgeous-Alexander gave a fitting reply to his haters.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Drops Confident Message After Game 7 Win

With the Denver Nuggets enforcing a Game 7, the NBA realm thought it was all over for the Thunder. They believed that Nikola Jokic and co. will be the ones advancing to the finals. However, SGA and co. had some entirely different plans. Dropping 35 points, the Thunder won the game 125-93. Soon after the match, Gilgeous-Alexander dropped a savage message.
