Jimmy Butler is one of the best players in the NBA and has been for quite some time now. Since joining the Golden State Warriors via trade earlier in February, Butler has helped them to a solid 7-1 record on the court.
The embattled NBA star’s previous stay in Miami was cut shorter than many fans expected. Before the trade, it was reported that Butler had left practice due to not receiving enough playing time, which ultimately stemmed from his wanting a contract extension among many other things that Butler did.
Only to pour more gasoline on the fire, Butler was suspended from the Heat immediately following his actions, and things weren’t looking good for him in Miami. After being traded, things looked all good in Golden State before some recent news broke.
According to WPLG Local 10, Jimmy Butler is now being sued by a property owner in Miami for unpaid rent and damages allegedly caused by the former Miami Heat superstar while he was living at his home.
Jimmy Butler Is Getting Sued After Leaving Miami

The property that Butler stayed in, which is owned by Five Star Marketing and Promotions, was reportedly left in “disrepair.” Butler refused to pay the $130,000 agreed upon by both sides before his trade to the Warriors.
WPLG Local 10 stated, “Court documents also allege Butler caused $125,000 in damages, including mold issues, damaged drywall and flooring, an unmaintained pool, and a malfunctioning HVAC system.”

Butler’s thoughts on the whole ordeal are unclear, as he has yet to comment on the news of his alleged misbehavior during his time at the Miami property. But it seems as though he will continue to play for the Warriors throughout this lawsuit.
