Jrue Holiday is not going anywhere. At least if he’s being given a choice. Playing for the Boston Celtics, Holiday had quite a bitter experience recently. With his team making a heartbreaking exit from the second-round playoffs, the rumors were swirling. However, in a recent update, Holiday has made it clear that he has no intentions of leaving the Celtics anytime soon.
The 34-year-old is currently amidst a 4-year-long contract with the Celtics. With a deal of $134 million, Holiday is looking forward to giving back his team with some valuable performances. Speaking to the media, Holiday opined that he feels that he has a very good chance of taking his career forward with the Celtics.
“I think we still have a really, really great opportunity and a great window to be successful and win a championship again… The opportunity to win is now, and I still want to be a part of that,” said Holiday.

Surely, coming into the squad, Holiday did have a pretty decent run. Playing in the regular season, Holiday averaged 11.1 points per game. He also had 4.3 rebounds and 3.9 assists to show. Meanwhile, with him catching the eyes of NBA coaches, Holiday recently doubled down on the fiasco involving Bradley Beal and Mike Budenholzer.
Jrue Holiday Reflects On Mike Budenholzer’s Advice For Bradley Beal

While an unfortunate injury cut his run short, Jrue Holiday had caught a lot of eyes already. One such person is the former head coach of the Phoenix Suns, Mike Budenholzer. In a recent report it was revealed that Budenholzer had asked Bradley Beal to play like Holiday. Surely, Beal was not at all happy with the advice and it further elevated tension inside the Suns’ locker room. Addressing the situation, Jrue Holiday pointed out that he was caught off guard.

“I guess I have nothing to say because this is the first time I’m hearing about it. I also don’t know what he meant by saying that. But we are different players. Brad is an elite scorer, and he’s had somewhat of an off year. So I feel like things are different,” Holiday said.
