The Kevin Durant trade situation is heating up, and we might be close to finding out where he’ll land next.
According to reports, Durant has three teams in mind for a long-term commitment. He has the Miami Heat, San Antonio Spurs, and Houston Rockets all lined up.
However, the Phoenix Suns have made it clear that they will consider trades that are best for their franchise. Even if that means sending Durant somewhere he doesn’t prefer.
With an impressive average of 26.6 points, six rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.2 blocks per game this season, Durant is a valuable asset. But with only one year left on his contract, he might choose free agency next summer if he’s dealt to a team that doesn’t fit his style.

When it comes to potential trades, the Spurs are in an interesting position. They’ve got a rising star in Victor Wembanyama and are focused on building for the future. Trading for a seasoned player like Durant could feel risky as it might mean giving up on young talent.
However, the long-term commitment thing is not quite suiting up with the NBA fans on social media.
