After signing with the Golden State Warriors in 2016, Kevin Durant quickly became an essential part of the team’s dominance alongside Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. His arrival helped the Warriors secure back-to-back championships in 2017 and 2018. Despite this success, Durant chose to leave in 2019, seeking another shot at winning the NBA Finals with a different team.
During a candid conversation on The Draymond Green Show, Durant addressed the lingering resentment from some fans regarding his decision. He admitted that certain people may never let go of their disappointment. However, he made it clear that their opinions do not affect him.
“I’m sure some people are not gonna, like, let it go. I don’t wanna say they’re mad, but they’re still angry about it. I don’t think they’ll forget that I went to the Warriors; it’s always gonna be a talking point when it comes to my career. But I don’t give a sh*t,” KD said..

“Because we did some incredible things and it was some of the most fun times of my life moving around as a Warrior. It’s gonna be people that love, it’s gonna be people that hate it. At the end of the day, it happened,” he added.
Following his departure from the Warriors, Durant signed with the Brooklyn Nets as a free agent. However, his time in Brooklyn was plagued by injuries and off-court drama.

“I can play ones with Jayson Tatum, and he can get cooking, making shots over every contest. I can play ones with Kyrie, and he can’t miss. I would say JT, Kyrie, for the simple fact that I’ve actually played against them. I would say somebody like a Joel too, he can get a bucket from the wing,” he added.
The Suns star is probably on the verge of his Suns career as reports suggest that the team might trade him this offseason. Nevertheless, Durant is focused on competing at the highest level and leaving a lasting impact on Phoenix.
