Throughout his career, Kevin Durant found most of his success during his time with the Golden State Warriors. During his three seasons with the Warriors, Durant won two NBA championships in back-to-back years.
Even now, fans often reflect on Durant’s impressive run with Golden State. Recently, a user on X took aim at Durant’s decision to leave the Warriors, writing, “I think it’s time to admit Kevin Durant’s trajectory after leaving Golden State is very underwhelming.”
However, the Phoenix Suns star didn’t agree with the criticism. Instead, he responded by defending his career, saying, “I highly disagree, wanna debate?”
The fan replied by pointing out that Durant’s time with the Brooklyn Nets and Phoenix Suns has been filled with disappointment, even suggesting he’s on the verge of joining yet another team. But Durant wasn’t having it and fired back with a list of accomplishments from those years.

“All stars, 50/40/90, all nba. Efficient buckets brother, I also got a career high assist one year. Hit 30k points, won a couple Olympic golds and mvps…what a career and I’m still goin. I love my life,” he wrote.
Some fans may still be frustrated, especially after reports surfaced this season that the Warriors tried to bring Durant back in a midseason trade. Durant, however, turned down the offer, and the Warriors ultimately went on to acquire Jimmy Butler instead.

Kevin Durant Trade Buzz Heats Up As Suns Jerseys Hit The Clearance Rack

Durant’s future with the Suns is becoming increasingly uncertain as trade rumors swirl and signs continue to point toward a potential move this offseason. According to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, the superstar forward is expected to be traded in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, journalist Matt Peterson shared that a local Phoenix store is selling Durant jerseys on clearance for just $49.99. While jersey discounts are nothing new, the timing has caught fans’ attention. For many, it’s a symbolic gesture that Durant’s time in the Valley may be nearing its end.
Durant joined the Suns in a blockbuster trade in 2023. He was seen as a final piece for a title run alongside Devin Booker and Bradley Beal. But chemistry issues, injuries, and postseason shortcomings have derailed that vision.
