Stephen A Smith got called out by New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson on Friday night.
Smith, who claims to be a lifelong Knicks fan, picked the Boston Celtics to advance in the second-round playoff series against NY, even going as far as saying it would be an easy matchup for the former defending champions.
However, he was proven wrong, with the Knicks playing well enough to avoid going the distance of a seventh game and ending the series in six.
They are now set to play the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference Finals.
Jalen Brunson Had Nothing To Say To Stephen A Smith

The ESPN host revealed getting checked by both Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns after New York blew Boston out on Friday night.
“Jalen Brunson came up to me and said, ‘I have nothing to say to you,’ ” Smith said on ESPN after the game, adding that, “Karl-Anthony Towns said, ‘You picked the wrong team’ because I picked Boston before the series began.”

He also admitted to making a mistake in picking Boston and then switching sides when it became clear that the Knicks were the better team.
“I, like everybody else in America, changed my mind when they won Games 1 and 2 in Boston,” he confessed.
Smith later took to X to post a video of himself dapping Brunson up, captioning it “Captain Clutch.”

It appears LeBron James is not the only one needing to get chippy with Stephen A. Smith.
Brunson likely never forgot all the criticism he took from the ‘First Take’ host after the Knicks brought him to New York and needed to let him know.
