Karl-Anthony Towns demonstrated his scoring ability during the New York Knicks’ Eastern Conference Finals matchup against the Indiana Pacers. However, his struggles on the defensive end stood out and led to widespread criticism following the Knicks’ playoff exit.
In the midst of the growing wave of online ridicule, Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving stepped up to defend his longtime friend and fellow New Jersey native. Using his “Tweak” account to share his thoughts, Irving didn’t hold back. Kyrie unleashed a fiery message aimed at Towns’ detractors.
“Y’all gotta stop making fun of my brother KAT. I’m done with y’all. Stop making fun of my brother KAT. It’s over. It’s a f*****g wrap. I’m letting y’all know, if you repost that sh*t again, meme him up, I’m attacking you. Not like that physically in GTA, but I’m attacking you,” Kyrie said.

A bold trade scenario proposed by Bleacher Report’s Dan Favale could dramatically reshape the NBA’s balance of power if executed. The hypothetical four-team deal features some of the league’s biggest names. In this proposal, the New Orleans Pelicans would acquire Karl-Anthony Towns from the New York Knicks.
The New York Knicks would receive Kevin Durant from the Phoenix Suns. The Phoenix Suns would pivot by landing Dejounte Murray. Phoenix would also receive Yves Missi, Kelly Olynyk, and a treasure trove of draft capital. The Suns’ haul would include a 2026 first-round pick swap via the Wizards, the Indiana Pacers’ top-four protected 2026 first-round pick, the Pelicans’ top-nine protected 2026 first-rounder, a 2028 pick swap via the Knicks, and the 2031 Toronto Raptors’ first-round pick via New Orleans.
Lastly, the Washington Wizards would get P.J. Tucker and a 2027 first-round pick swap via the Pelicans. If this scenario ever materialized, it would mark one of the most dramatic multi-team trades in recent memory.
