The Los Angeles Lakers are actively looking for some quality addition to its side. While Luka Doncic and LeBron James remain at the helm, the Lakers need more players to step up in crucial game situations. And that is exactly why rumors of Lonzo Ball joining the purple and gold are doing the rounds. Ball, who is currently listed with the Chicago Bulls, might be seen changing his jersey in the coming season. At least, that is what The Athletic’s Jovan Buha has to say.
Speaking on a possible reunion with his previous side, Buha opined that the possibility is not far-fetched. However, the Lakers would also want to consider how much of a price tag is slapped on him. Because without a significant discount, the Lakers might not be interested in acquiring him.
“I do, I think they would be. It’s just a matter of what his price is and you have to factor in his health and the history there… you can’t even pencil him in for 60 games. So whatever you’re giving up for him, there has to be some level of a discount or you’re factoring in this dude might just play 40 or 50 games,” said Buha.

Surely, Ball has had some issues with load management in the past. Suffering from frequent injuries, Ball might not be expected to chip in for 60 games. At the most, the Lakers might be acquiring him for 40-50 games max. Thus, Ball needs to be managed well to get him to April without significant hiccups. Meanwhile, Ball is not the only name on the Lakers’ radar this offseason. While the rumors regarding a possible Giannis Antetokounmpo trade is doing the rounds, Shaquille O’Neal issued a stern warning.
Shaquille O’Neal Warns Giannis Antetokounmpo About A Los Angeles Lakers’ Trade

The rumors of Giannis Antetokounmpo joining the Los Angeles Lakers is running wild. While on paper, it looks like a dream trio of Doncic, James, and Antetokounmpo, the reality seems to be a lot different. Antetokounmpo will be facing a lot of problems if he chooses Los Angeles as his next stop. And who better than Shaquille O’Neal to educate him on the same.

“I would tell him that, probably, a bigger market doesn’t matter. Social media is the market now. If you go to L.A., 50% of your contract goes to taxes, more pressure and more stress…When I was coming up, it was a small market that was too small, probably need to go to a big market. But now, every market is the same. Nobody cares what city you’re in, this ain’t the ’90s,” O’Neal recently said.
