LeBron James had a field day at Fanatics Fest this weekend. And the Los Angeles Lakers superstar made sure to make it all about the New York Knicks.
During his live appearance on the ‘Mind the Game’ podcast alongside Steve Nash, LeBron took shots at the Knicks. As he engaged with the enthusiastic New York City crowd, he couldn’t resist taking a few playful jabs at the Knicks fans in attendance.
With the bitter sting of their team’s elimination in the Eastern Conference Finals still fresh, LeBron casually asked whether they were feeling alright.
James continued to have fun at the expense of Knicks supporters by querying if next year would finally be the year the franchise returns to the NBA Finals.
“Knicks fans, y’all good? You going to the Finals next year? We’ll see,” LeBron said.

Though his comments were intended as humor, they were strikingly pointed given the franchise’s history of underperformance. And the Knicks fans on social media were having none of it.

However, the loyal New York fans went on a lengthy rant on social media after getting a little hurt by James’ humour.
