LeBron James may be entering his 23rd NBA season, but he’s taking his offseason in stride with a golf club in hand. After a rocky year with the Los Angeles Lakers and opting into the final year of his contract, James has turned heads on the green.
On Friday, LeBron posted a video on Instagram showing his latest hobby. In the clip, he’s seen working on his swing with a candid and unfiltered caption that caught everyone’s attention.
“Day 2 of officially trying this A out! Boy o Boy it’s a mind f**k to say the least! But I think I enjoy that part of it a lot! Haha! Got a long a*s way to go at this sport and I’ll still be some de but hey it’s a great time out there,” James wrote in the caption.
The internet wasted no time reacting. While some fans supported LeBron’s new interest, others couldn’t resist poking fun at his awkward swing and drawing comparisons to another NBA icon.
“Swing is just as fucked up as his shot lmao,” one fan wrote.

Skip Bayless Slams LeBron James For Not Taking Pay Cut In Year 23

On a recent episode of his show, sports analyst Skip Bayless reignited his long-running criticism of LeBron James. Bayless questioned LeBron’s commitment to winning after the Lakers forward chose not to take a pay cut this offseason.
“In year 23, at age 41. You couldn’t just take, I don’t know, 20 or 30 million to dramatically enhance the Lakers’ chances of winning now… LeBron [James], do you want to take what you’re worth or do you want to win at any cost?” Bayless said.
James agreed to a pay cut to help the Lakers build a more competitive roster last season. That sacrifice allowed the team to pursue key acquisitions and remain playoff-relevant. However, this year, LeBron opted into the full value of his deal. Despite LeBron’s full salary this time around, the franchise is still pursuing the pieces needed to form a championship-caliber roster around their aging star.
