LeBron James was sending prayers following a horrific incident on Monday.
Liverpool FC hosted a victory parade in Merseyside on the day to celebrate their capture of the Premier League title, but the event was marred by a crazed driver who mowed several people down.
While James was far removed, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar is a part-owner of the English soccer team, having bought a 2.5 percent stake for a reported $6.5 million along with business partner Maverick Carter in 2011.
Based on recent estimates, LeBron’s stake is now worth around $100 million, and he has seen the club win two Premier League titles and the Champions League since buying in.
Unfortunately, the team’s parade became the scene of a disheartening incident, with a 53-year-old man driving into the crowd and injuring multiple people. According to eyewitnesses, a baby was one of the victims.

The man responsible has been detained by Merseyside police, who probably saved his life after he was mobbed and dragged out of his car when it came to a stop. His actions could prompt serious consequences as a British counter terrorism unit is now part of the investigations.
Liverpool won the 2024/25 Premier League title in impressive fashion, sealing the deal with four games left to go. The win marks their 20th top-flight capture and the second of the Premier League era.
