The Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James will enter his remarkable 23rd NBA season in the upcoming season. Hence, the conversation around his retirement has once again picked up steam. At 40 years old, the Lakers star remains a dominant force on the court, but fans, media, and even fellow athletes are starting to wonder how much longer he’ll continue defying time.
That speculation took center stage during Fanatics Fest. In the star-studded event, LeBron appeared alongside NBA sensation Victor Wembanyama and NFL legend Tom Brady.
During the appearance, Maverick Carter asked LeBron about his retirement plans. The four-time title winner didn’t shy away from cracking a joke. He turned the attention toward Spurs phenom Victor Wembanyama, who recently made headlines for a 10-day training retreat at the famed Shaolin Temple in China, where he practiced martial arts alongside monks.
“As long as Wemby keeps smacking my fu**ing shots into the stands, he’s gonna make me retire,” James said.

Tom Brady Urges Fans To Appreciate LeBron James’ Greatness

LeBron James played with his son Bronny James, which marked the first time an active NBA player did. This was unbelievable. At Fanatics Fest, NFL star Tom Brady reflected on LeBron’s remarkable legacy and reminded fans that the four-time champion is entering the twilight of his career.
“The different teams that (LeBron James) has been on, he’s always done things the right way. He’s always risen above the noise, continuing to deliver. You’re witnessing the greatest ever and I hope you all appreciate that,” Brady said.
Despite being in his 40s, LeBron continues to play at an elite level. This past season, he averaged 24.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 8.2 assists per game. He even led the Los Angeles Lakers to the postseason. But the Lakers then got eliminated from the first round of the playoffs.
