LeBron James is one of the most expensive athletes in the NBA. With his incredible on and off-court performance, James bagged significantly high contracts in the NBA. And not only that, King James also has a lot of lucrative deals outside of the NBA. Yet, his former Miami Heat teammate Dwyane Wade once labeled him the “Cheapest Guy In The NBA!”
The incident dates back to 2016. James was on the verge of becoming the most expensive NBA player, with a contract expansion of $27.5 million. But that did not stop Wade from taking a dig at the current Lakers star. Speaking on the ‘Live with Kelly’ show, Wade pointed out exactly how frugal King James was.
Wade explained his answer by saying that James was an ‘exact’ tipper at the restaurant. And to add more fun to the banter, the NBA legend himself opined on the matter.
“I’m not turning on data roaming. I’m not buying no apps. I still got Pandora with commercials,” said James.

Surely, it is quite understandable that James makes most of his decisions after sincere consideration. Meanwhile, a recent report stated that James might leave the Los Angeles Lakers.

James had one of the biggest heartbreaks in his NBA career. Going up against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Lakers suffered a crushing 1-4 defeat. And while James is expected to continue playing for at least a year more, he might be leaving his current team, the Lakers.
“So, might James think about finishing his career elsewhere in pursuit of a fifth ring? When posed that question, both league sources close to James and team sources would not rule that possibility out. And that was before the revealing elimination game,” via Jovan Buha and Sam Amick from The Athletic.
