Lonzo Ball is finally at peace after a long struggle with injury. The Chicago Bulls recently traded him to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Isaac Okoro. Though he has not seen major trade linkups lately, Ball is still happy to have a fresh start at his new camp.
During his recent appearance on the ‘What An Experience with Lonzo Ball’ podcast, the star guard shared a heartfelt message. Ball addressed what he’s looking forward to at Cleveland and everything around his next big stay.
“Just playing, competing for a ring. I mean, I feel like that should be the goal. I feel like that is the goal. So happy to get over there, get started, meet everybody, get familiar with everything, and take it as far as we can. Great change of scenery, man. It’s actually close to Chicago, too,” he said.

After facing some tough times over the past couple of seasons with injuries, Lonzo is ready to turn the page and embrace fresh opportunities. He had an honest take when asked about playing for a team that has the second-best odds to win the ring next season.
“I feel like it’s just a blessing, bro. To be honest, everybody keeps asking me how I feel about the trade. I’m happy to still be playing anywhere, let alone a team that has a real chance to win a ring. So, my whole life I’ve been playing, I feel like the right brand of basketball, and that’s to win games,” Ball added.
After overcoming multiple surgeries and a lengthy rehab process, he’s feeling positive about returning to his best form.

Lonzo Ball Stood Firm On His Jersey Number

While there’s high hope in Cleveland for Lonzo Ball, he’s looking forward to tuning in with the city and its fans.
Although he will be seeing a shift in culture, for sure, not everything is changing. Ball will still wear his No. 2 jersey that he used to wear at the Bulls.
Prior to his joining the team, Ty Jerome wore the number. Jerome was recently traded to the Memphis Grizzlies. Witnessing this development would be exciting, as imagining Lonzo in a jersey other than the Bulls’ would take some time.
